The invention relates to a side wall for a transport container, in particular vehicle body or container having a pivotally connected to a frame structure of the transport container upper wall portion and a pivotally connected to the upper wall portion lower wall portion, wherein the side wall between a substantially vertical Schließstel-ment for closing a loading opening of the frame structure and a loading opening releasing open position can be transferred.
Furthermore, the invention relates to a transport container, in particular vehicle body or container, with a transport space enclosing frame structure and having at least one side wall having an upper, pivotally connected to the frame structure upper wall portion and a lower, pivotally connected to the upper wall portion lower wall portion, wherein the side wall between a substantially vertical closed position for closing a loading opening of the frame structure and an open position releasing the loading opening can be transferred.
Various transport containers with a pivotally mounted two-part side wall are known from the prior art. In WO 97/34793 in particular a transport container has been disclosed with a two-part side wall, in which acts on one of the two side edges of the lower wall portion, a non-driven arm with its one end, wherein the handlebar is hinged at its other end to the vehicle body. In order to avoid oscillation of the side wall, the distance between the ends of the handlebar is variable, for example by means of a spring. Alternatively, at least one end of the link is slidably mounted.
This transport container has basically proven to be very suitable to reduce the space required when opening the side wall and at the same time to prevent the oscillation of the lower wall part. For some applications, however, it may be disadvantageous that the known vehicle structure requires an additional connection between the lower wall part and the vehicle body, in order to lower the lower wall part during the opening or closing operation ···· t »· * ·· ·« fe ·· ································································································································································································································ Thus, an adaptation of the vehicle body is required, which should not be performed in certain embodiments of the transport container or can.
In connection with another type of one-piece side wall, it is also known from AT 509 523 to connect the side wall to the transport container via a chain or the like, so that a lower edge of the side wall is brought to the transport container during the transfer to the closed position. Accordingly, an additional connection between the side wall and the vehicle body is also provided in this prior art.
In contrast, the object of the present invention is to provide a structurally simple multi-part side wall of the initially mentioned kind, with which the oscillation of the lower wall part can be avoided without costly adaptation of the vehicle body.
This object is achieved with a multi-part side wall of the type mentioned in that the lower wall part is connected via a guide element with the upper wall part, so that the lower wall part · during the transfer from the closed position in the direction of the open position along a predetermined path is feasible ,
When transferring into the open position, the upper wall part is pivoted, wherein the lower wall part is pulled over the articulated connection between the wall parts upwards. Due to the guide element, the lower wall part, in particular in the region of its lower edge, is guided reliably at least during the beginning of the opening movement. The guide element is in this case preferably connected in an articulated manner with its one end region to the upper wall part and with its other end region to the lower wall part. Thus, according to the invention, an undesired oscillation of the lower wall part can be prevented without providing an additional connection between the frame structure and the side wall. Accordingly, can advantageously be dispensed with a complex adaptation of the vehicle body. Due to the guidance of the lower wall part, the risk of injury to persons present due to a pendulum side wall can be limited. Likewise, the risk of property damage can be minimized. Another advantage of the side wall is that the space required when opening the side wall is reduced. Finally, it can be ensured with the aid of the guide element that the side wall is reliably used when closing the side wall along the defined path to the lower corner region of the transport container.
In order to ensure a safe guidance of the lower wall part during the transfer from the closed position in the direction of the open position, without affecting the pivotability of the wall parts to each other in the transfer to the open position, it is advantageous if a transversely to its longitudinal extension direction substantially freely deformable guide element , preferably a chain, a rope or a band, is provided. The deformable guide element, which has a linear, elongate shape, is well suited to transmitting tensile forces but allowing deformation against compressive forces. In this case, it is particularly advantageous if a chain is provided as a deformable guide element, since this advantageously ensures high stability, in particular lateral stability, via the guide element. In addition, chains which are composed of individual pivotally arranged to each other members, preferably metal members, significantly more resistant to damage and vandalism than straps and ropes. The risk of freezing is not given in a chain.
In order to bring the lower wall part reliably when opening the side wall in the direction of the frame structure of the transport container, it is favorable if the guide element is displaceably mounted against the force of an elastic element, in particular a spring, on the upper or lower wall part. Due to the displaceably mounted articulation point of the guide element, the guide element can be tracked to the position of the side wall during the opening or closing operation. In the case of the deformable guide element, the spring causes the deformable guide element, at least at the beginning of the opening process or at the end of the closing process, to be in the tensioned position. «« * · F ** «· ·« «« * * * * * Stretched condition, whereby the secure guidance of the lower wall part is ensured. In the closed position, the elastic element is initially in its compressed position. When opening the side wall, the elastic element is in its non-compressed position until no tensile force is exerted on the deformable guide element. Advantageously, therefore, the side wall of the deformable guide element during further transfer to the open position is not hindered. Conversely, when the side wall is closed, the deformable guide element is first subjected to tension before the elastic element is compressed until the side wall reaches the closed position.
For displaceable mounting of the guide element, it is favorable if the upper or lower wall part has on a side edge a guide in which a receiving part connected to the guide element is displaceably mounted.
Instead of the displaceable mounting of the guide element on the side wall is provided according to an alternative embodiment that the distance between the ends of the guide element is variable.
It is particularly advantageous if the length of the guide element by a spring element, preferably coil spring or gas spring, is variable.
For space-saving arrangement of the side wall in the open position, it is advantageous if the upper wall part and the lower wall part are arranged in the open position substantially horizontally one above the other. In this embodiment, the upper wall portion of the side wall connected to the frame structure pivots by substantially 270 °. In an alternative embodiments, it may be provided that the upper wall part pivots to the open position by substantially 180 °. In this case, the wall parts are arranged substantially vertically next to one another in the open position.
The problem underlying the invention is further solved by a transport container of the type mentioned, in which the side wall according to the above statements, to which reference is hereby made, is formed.
For automatic opening or closing of the side wall, it is advantageous if a drive unit is provided for transferring the side wall between the closed and the open position. The drive unit is in particular for torque transmission to the side wall, in particular the upper wall portion, arranged to pivot the side wall between the closed and the open position.
In order to lift the side wall in the direction of the open position or to lower it in the direction of the closed position, it is advantageous if the drive unit has at least one link which is articulated to the side wall and the frame structure. Hereby, a stable power transmission between the drive unit and the side wall can be achieved.
According to a preferred embodiment of the handlebar is connected to a particular hydraulically or pneumatically actuated linear drive or a drive shaft. In the driven state of the linear drive of the handlebar is pivoted to open or close the associated side wall. Alternatively, the handlebar can be driven by means of a drive shaft, which is connected to a suitable drive, so that in the driven state of the drive shaft torque is transmitted to the handlebar.
The invention will be explained below with reference to exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawing, to which, however, it should not be restricted. In detail, in the drawing:
Figure 1 is a schematic side view of a truck with a two-part side wall.
Figure 2a is a view of a side wall according to the invention in the closed position. 6 * · * ♦ · ♦ * ·· * · «« ♦ · · «« + »· · · · · · · · * Φ · *
FIG. 2b shows a view of the side wall according to FIG. 2a in a partially opened position; FIG.

Fig. 3 is a view of an alternative embodiment of the side wall in a partially open position corresponding to Fig. 2b.
In Fig. 1, a truck 1 'is shown schematically, which has a cuboid transport container 1. The transport container 1 has a frame structure 2, which is only schematically illustrated in the drawings, of vertical and horizontal supports 3 (cf., FIG. 2). The frame structure 2 of the transport container 1 includes a transport space which is bounded on at least one side by a side wall 4. In the embodiment shown, the side wall 4 forms a longitudinal side of the transport container 1. Alternatively, the side wall 4 may be provided on an end face of the transport container 1. 1, the side wall 4 is arranged in a closed position lying on the frame structure 2, wherein a lateral loading opening 5 (cf., Fig. 2c) of the transport container 1 is completely closed. The side wall 4 has an upper wall portion 6 and a lower wall portion 7, which are hinged together about a horizontally extending pivot axis. Here similar wall parts 6, 7 or an asymmetrically divided side wall 4 may be provided.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the lower wall part 7 is hingedly connected to the lower edge of the upper wall part 6 at its upper edge about a substantially horizontal pivot axis. The upper wall portion 7 is pivotally connected via a further, substantially horizontal pivot axis with a roof structure 8 of the frame structure 2.

2, the side wall 4 is connected to a pivoting device 10, with which the side wall 4 from the closed position (Fig. 1, Fig. 2a) via various intermediate positions (Fig. 2b, 2c) in the direction of FIG 2d pivoted open position, wherein the loading opening 5 is released. For automatic transfer of the side wall 4 between the closed and open positions, the pivoting device 10 has a drive unit which is adapted to transmit torque to the side wall 4. For this purpose, the drive unit has a drivable arm 12, which is pivotally connected at one end about a horizontal pivot axis with the side wall 4 and at the other end about a horizontal pivot axis with the roof structure 8. The handlebar 12 is längenunveränderlich in the embodiment shown. As further schematically shown in the drawing, the end connected to the upper wall portion 6 of the handlebar 12 is slidably mounted on the side edge of the upper wall portion 6. Hereby, the pivotability of the side wall 4 can be ensured upon actuation of the arm 12.
2, the lower wall part 7 of the side wall 4 is connected to the upper wall part 6 via a guide element 28 (shown schematically in the drawing) so that the lower wall part 7 moves from the closed position in the direction of the open position during the transfer can be guided along a predetermined path. The guide element 28 is articulated in the region of the lower edge of the lower wall part 7, whereby a stable guidance of the lower edge of the lower wall part 7 is ensured when the side wall 4 is pivoted from the closed position upwards. In addition, the guide element 28 is articulated in the region of the lower edge of the upper wall part 6. In the embodiment shown, the guide element 28 is essentially freely deformable transversely to its longitudinal direction. As a guide element 28 is therefore preferably a chain, a rope or a band provided. Thus, the guide member 28 is well suited to transfer tensile forces, but on the other hand deformable against compressive forces.
As is further apparent from FIG. 2, the guide element 28 is displaceably mounted against the force of an elastic element in the form of a spring 29 on the upper wall part 6. In the closed position of the side wall 4, which is shown in Fig. 2a, the spring 29 is in the compressed position. The upper wall part 6 in this case has on the side edge of a guide 30 in which a connected to the guide member 28 receiving part 31 is slidably mounted under the action of the spring 29.
The guide 30 together with the spring 29 can of course also be provided in the lower wall part 7.
As can be seen from FIG. 2b, the guide element 28 causes the lower wall part 7 to be guided along the pivoting of the side wall 4 from the closed position in the direction of the open position along a defined path. Hereby, an undesired oscillation of the lower wall part 7 during the opening or closing operation can be reliably avoided. Advantageously, also the space required when opening the side wall 4 is reduced. The leadership of the lower wall portion 7 can be achieved without additional connection to the frame structure 2. Due to the force of the spring 29, the guide element 28 is used when opening the side wall 4 in the direction of the frame structure 2, wherein the connected to the upper wall portion 6 end of the guide member 28 is moved over the receiving part 31 along the guide 30.
As can be seen from FIG. 2 c, the handlebar 12 pivots until it reaches the intermediate position completely releasing the loading opening by substantially 180 °, the wall parts 6, 7 being arranged substantially vertically next to one another. When opening the side wall 4, the spring 29 is in the non-compressed position over until the tensile force on the deformable guide member 28 disappears. Thus, the side wall 4 is not disturbed by the guide member 28 during further transfer in the direction of the open position.
As can be seen from FIG. 2 d, the side wall 4 can be pivoted, via the handlebar 12, from the intermediate position shown in FIG. 2 c, in which the loading opening 5 is completely exposed, into the open position, in which the upper wall part 6 and the unobstructed * · * · ♦ · * ·· * ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* * * * * 9 tere wall part 7 are arranged substantially horizontally one above the other.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the distance between the ends of the guide element 28 is variable. For this purpose, the guide element 28, a spring element 32, preferably a coil spring or gas spring, which is stretched in the closed position of the side wall 4 and is relaxed during transfer of the side wall in the direction of the open position. In this embodiment, a displaceable mounting of the guide element 28 on the side wall 4 can be dispensed with.
